That's really cool. I'm really liking that echo(reverb?) that he puts when he sings/raps. Probably one of my favorite things I like to hear done to a voice + a good bassy loop.

if only the whole game will look like that....

PS. Just watched the gameplay-- not quite as epic. Shame, but understandable.

Default DM of the Rings

Great parody of what would REALLY happen if Lord of the Rings was a D&D adventure.

im not even half way through that but its pretty funny, i like his little comments at the end of each strip too, i could not imagine playing a game where you had to manage all of the stats and conditions for each and every action. Now i can enjoy games where all of these variables are taken into account by the compute and i can focus on the fun part.

You just don't understand the real fun in it

It's all the wild variables that go outside the concept of the game that's the real fun. The problem with most computer games is that you are really locked in and don't have all that many options of what you can or cannot do.

The one game that broke out of that for the most part was Black and White. Really fun game

lol well i may have come off wrong i love all the little details in games and the options im a total rpg buff, what i meant is its cool that on pc rpgs you dont have to actually sit down with a pen and pad and do the math. But i love that kind of depth in a game, after all i play tons of turn based games, and love city building and micromanagement. one thing i hate in any game is being boxed in, or railroaded. oh and black and white was an awesome game, number 2 was good but not nearly the same. But nothing pleases me more than looking a huge screen of stats and figuring out how to maximize them through clever use of all my items weapons armors enchantments and special abilities etc.

Ah, I see. I'm the opposite, I've never worried about optimizing stats or figuring out the best combination of weapons. I was always the guy who just had the most oddball character that somehow still managed to be effective.

In Black and White I had a tiger that liked to throw sheep up the hillside and would laugh as the bounced back down going 'Baaaa!" the whole way. Worst thing I did was spend way too much time teaching him how to cast the 'nuke' spell.

I went into a multi-player game and he immediately ran over to my ally and nuked his wolf avatar. My tiger HATED wolves and would go halfway across the map to squish one if he could. Needless to say the battle didn't go all that well since I spent half my time trying to keep my tiger from killing his own team mates.

But he was really good with that nuke spell.

god i love that game, when i played the tiger he had a thing for burning down the children's home with lightning. i loved the open endedness of that game. once i remember that i took some of my creatures poo and deposited it in an enemy food store. this poisoned their food supply and they all got sick and died. Such a great game. if only it had not had such an aweful tutorial first level i would go back and play it but i had that issue with both black and white games you cant skip those damn tutorials and it ruins the replay when you have to spend 2 hours listening to those annoying twits.

and yeah sometimes i can really milk the oddball character. If im too weak to beat something but i totally want its armor or something like that i will do whatever it takes. Even if it means climbing on top of a bookcase and attacking its head or somehow trapping it behind a door and then hacking away at its only exposed part. I did this a lot in fallout 3 and oblivion. and i do it a lot in some multi-player games cause it really pisses people off, but its a legit tactic if its not a bug.
