In the spring I'm planning to upgrade my monitor to at least 1650x1050 although, I may go with a 1920x1080 either monitor between 21" and 23" (My 19" 1440x900 monitor is way too small! Not to mention it has way too much contrast) and buy an Intuos4.

So, I want to buy a Medium Intuos4 for $300. My girlfriend keeps pushing me to buy the small for $200, but I insist on the medium.

Should I stick with the medium? I intend to do some drawing, and texture painting with it. My GF who insist on the small, she's an animator, and wants a small one when I help build her a computer in the spring.

i'd go for medium, going small can lead to hand cramps and lack space for strokes and all that.

dude it's like using the Inutos 4s at school, when we have the big Intuos 3s... get the medium and just budget something else less ha

i personally like the medium tablets more than the larger ones, the larger ones make me tired, and oh yeah one thing the school uses 4:3 tablets but widescreen monitors and imo it feels strange. I use the wide format intous3 and i love it goes perfect with my widescreen monitor. If you have a widescreen monitor id say get a 6x11 intous3 it will feel much more natural plus you get a lot of extra space for horizontal movement which makes up like 70 percent of the movement you do while computing.

the wide aspect wacom rocks. Ive used small medium and too large. the 6x 11 intuous 3 is perfect for me.

I think the resolution plays a factor in deciding. I would recommend the medium for one monitor and large for dual monitors. I have noticed that with dual monitors and a larg sized tablet I am moving my hand just as little as with one monitor at school and the medium sized tablet.
