does anyone know what menu this is in or if its not how to obtain it?
animation - create deformer?
You're sure it's warp? I've never seen "warp" in Maya. I know that Wrap is under the menu dabu said. And there's a warp in Photoshop.

yea its warp. In this vid http://vimeo.com/5738519 he uses a very cool technique to make rounded parts for his cyborg. its a very cool idea and one I would like to try.

Holy crapola that guy is sick! And he shows off a lot of really cool techniques, I gotta try some of those...
As for your question regarding warp deformers. It looks like he makes a poly mesh deform after a nurbs plane, sort of like a more advanced lattice. Verrrry interesting.
