Good ideas, and I like how your playing with poses and stuff. Even though someone else will be animating, they are important as they explain so much more about your character concepts. They say things like - "I'm a zombie."
The proportions and anatomy from the neck down is a tad too realistic for this project, but it's a stab in the right direction. I'd really like to see some more concepts that are more to the style of the game

Sorry I'll pull back my "omg I gotta make everything realistic proportions" thing. Is this closer to the game style or do I need to push more?

Batch 2 of zombie ladies and one confused zombie guy. Hopefully I'm hitting closer to the game's art style mark now.

2 orthos. I referenced Fionna's orthos for proportion control.

Helloooo Ladies!
Nice work - I love the characterization that you are showing here. All very creative concepts.
The second batch is much closer to the art style, I know it can be difficult to do something out of your comfort zone, especially after training so hard to "get it right" with your anatomy.
These are hilarious, I can't wait to see them come to life!

Thanks guys :)
Yeah...well I did take on this challenge to force me out of my comfort zone, so all the better!
Here's lovely zombie lady #1. She came up to 968 tris. Let me know if that's too high of a tri count and I'll work on trimming.
have you flagged backface culling? that dress looks one sided...

Oh pff--thanks for reminding me Daniel, I can't believe I forgot. I'll fix it when I get back from class.
byron created a 2 sided shell that solves the issue, not sure if it will be a rigging nightmare or not, ask him about it...

Zombie lady #1, fondly named Margaret, textured.
I matched the texturing style of the cowboy example in the art style thread the best I can.

This is really a solid character. I like how her face is part ripped off

Thanks guys :)
Here's lovely contestant #2, Naomi.
colors and strokes are good, again, needs more noise, try rendering and overlaying clouds.
I put my psd for the cavalry on the network, in wk 10 of texture and light (332)

Thanks Daniel!
I did put clouds but I guess I was being too light-handed with it.
Tried making them more obvious...looking better?
still to subtle, try overlaying this
