Hey all! I am working on some assets for an Elder scrolls VI mod. What I am trying to do is create a maze-like temple for the game. This means I have to build it in modular peices that fit together with one another. The problem is that the objects are not lighting the way I want them too, and it is making it very obvious where each piece begins and ends. Does anyone know a way around this? (attached is an example of the problem circled in red)

are you just using lights or lightmaps?

Which engine are you using? I know it has to be modular, but could you temporarily combine them? After you do that and merge verts it should just kinda work right? If it's in unreal, just make sure they're flush against one another and it'll work.

I believe its a variation of the Gamebryo engine. And yes, when I combine the verts it looks fine. But what exactly do you mean by "flush" together?

well just means that the verts of the edges need to have the same 3D coordinates. So literally the edges are right up against on another. Think of it as snapping the objects together.

I think in your engine you won't have this issue.

Your right. It doesn't have this issue in game.

its an ongoing project, and they are always looking for modelers. Here is the forum if you have any time to make something.
