went through some exploration to end up with a cutman that's basically got very sharp cutty things on the end of some serpentine body. the arms have a similar theme, with the head being humanoid, however cut in its own way.

silhouette for now, but also going to go forward and add some more to the body, like gashes in the body itself to help push the CUT part of cutman.

also included a megaman

cool, but feels a bit out of place. more like a monster for deadspace, than a boss for mega man. Would be fun to make anyways though.

yea gunna start doing sils now that i have some better ideas.

these are definitely not going with the usual megaman. i don't mind the dead space likeness one bit, thx! we'll see if this pans out.

The back story for this bipedal Cutman is that he's a raging lunatic mutant.

sils next to each other, plus another cutman idea, different feel. now he's a machine for now, but can still have a psychotic mind, maybe silent (voice) reaper or something

the right arm can have a variety of blade utility, and allow him to shoot it as a projectile. there is still a hand for possibly holding something then letting the blades slice while closing. the left hand for now, is more for grasping than the other, and i'm thinking can fan out and be spun at high speeds.

time's ticking and i'll be making a decision soon

k more final design. didn't like where the organic was going. basically took his quality as a tree cutter and went with it. physical deployment from saws to the churning turbine in his chest. considering putting a cover over that, not sure yet.


head opens sideways to have a rotating saw
jaw has individual mandibles with a large one on either side of his head
chest is a churning/tearing turbine
left arm is more for grasping use, also has a rotating saw on forearm
right arm is a more typical chain saw, the sides have folded mandibles which can open up for hand-like use, or be shot out as a projectile
knees are more gear-esque for grinding, may change them to bladed saws
feet spread apart for base sawing
also considering another projectile launcher in the shoulder area or thighs

gunna do some basic sils but this is the gist

Looking really cool! You are definitely on to something awesome. Keep playing with your ideas, but I think its close, if not there already.

I am really digging the tree-chomper in his chest. Thats a great idea.

It totally looks like a de-forestry gundam lol

e does look a little gundam like.. I would make the saw blade a bit bigger... feels to realistic to me, I would make it a little more stylized... though you do like realistic stuff :)

agree on the gundamn/realistic looking, and i'd rather try something new. here's something different. not happy with his head on the top, so i put it on the bottom, on this one, he's got "half" on each side.
