Here's my rough concept. I will refine the design and sculpey it it the next week or two, then model it. Unconventional enough?

dude that is sick, like something out of our havok class lol. I like the idea alot, now make it harder wield as this one seems like it may actually be useful in the right situation.

Sounds like a combo weapon from fallout 3. Collect 1 rifle, 1 chicken, 1 box of Explod-0s and take them to the engy.

Nice concept though.

how do you make it fire?

I hope this revised design answers your question D

Next step - model with sculpey (I hope my housemate don't kill me for cutting up a spoon for the chicken seat)

Need a vote on whether I should have a bayonet on there or not...

Cheers,

im all for bayonets, but thats not much of one is it, what are you going to do with that scratch the guy. But on the other hand since this is supposed to be a impractical weapon, it would be funny to see the bayonet be a pocket knife or a pair of nail clippers. or one of the automatic turkey carving knifes.

Actually I've gotten some off site critiques and I am dropping the bayonet altogether. Thx for the input still!!!

P.S. Found one of them cheap ass ashtrays for the chicken seat in a store, so my mate's spoons will live to see another bowl of soup (although he gave me the green light to dismember one of them). On the sad side, it's 2x bigger than the spoon I was hoping to use... which means my maquette will be 2x - hope I got enough sculpey (fingers crossed)

how about an egg grenade launcher as a secondary fire?

I think that would be too much work for me. I got a day job, so to speak.

Submitting my withdrawal from the contest. I will still make this at some point, but I am booked with work now, and I rather make a game than make a prop (the former will actually pay my loans and rent). Sorry for late notice, but I had to see how my time schedule was working out.

Good luck to you all, lots of great ideas here!

I'm sorry too hear that. I'm honesty also a little relieved. This concept is brilliant - nice drawings too.
