I'm doing something wrong. I have a .tga file, 32 bit. It's "see through" in Maya, but when I import it into unreal 3 it's not "see through" anymore. I think when I'm importing it into unreal
I'm not checking the right box's or something. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.

you have to build a certain type of shader for transparency to show up..i forget exactly how to do it..check out Hourences site he has a ton of super useful tutorials to build certain types of shaders and various other things in Unreal 3..

in the materials just make sure you have the alphas turned on in the material builder. It is quite easy but if you are looking at engines should check out Unity and Wild Pockets. Wild Pockets is free and well Unity just rocks.... I have been working with Unity for a while now and am very impressed with what it can do.
