We are developing a 3D learning game about the creation of the Republic of Texas in 1836, for Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site. That is the location of the Texas Constitutional Convention, where delegates wrote the Texas Declaration of Independence and Constitution. (They were declaring independence from Mexico; ten years later, Texas joined the United States.)
The game takes place in mid-March 1836. Players assume the role of a 14-year-old boy or girl living on a farm about 25 miles from Washington. About ten days ago, your Pa went into town to purchase supplies. He hasn't returned, so your Ma asks you to go into town after him. In Washington, must discover what happened to Pa by talking to NPCs and through their flashbacks to their encounters with Pa. Over the course of the game, you discover Pa's progression from non-political farmer to a volunteer who volunteers to fight for independence, leaving town to fight for Texas independence.

3D Foxhound
The game script calls for a stray dog, a foxhound, to help the player find tasks and NPCs to talk to in town. The dog is thus a central character in the game.
Model:
Mesh: About 2,500 triangles and vertices
Texture:
Texture: 512x512
Style: Photorealistic
One texture and material for the character. No specular or bump maps.
Rigging and Animations:
We will need the foxhound to be animated. If any students can help with either task, here are the animations needed. We can provide video reference:
-Stand idle (10 second loop)
-Sit idle (15 second loop, mostly just sitting there, but with an occasional glance around and such)
-Bark (head only; we will blend to sit and stand poses)
-Walking (short loop)
-Trotting (short loop)
Please let me know if you're interested in taking this on.
Thanks!
