I created this character for the Character and hero prop modeling class. The budget is 4678 tris and 2x512 color maps. I,m plannig to add more gears, and create some custome weapon for him.

Here are 1st character head and uv layouts. There are still many spaces. I think I can use those spaces for additional gears and inside of mouth.

THis is WIP project. I want to make a character for Ps3 or xbox360. Now I'm sculpting the model in Zbrush. And I created low res head with normal and color maps to test whether it's working or not. Anybody knows the common poly and texture budget for next gen console game?

Welcome any critics or suggestions. I'm not familiar with the model applied normal map, so your suggestions will be very helpful to me. Polycounts is 1554 Tris. 1024 color and normal.

Ya really awesome work man! Not sure if you got any friends who rig but i'd love to rig this up for you. I want to work on creating a standard biped rig thats transferable from standard human size model to model. I'd love to work on your character, then when i'm done you'll have a character thats rigged up so you can pose it for your portfolio.

I also do animation so if you want i could animate a run cycle for it or something. Let me know.

Wow these look impressive. I like what you've been able to do with Zbrush also making a current gen character. I look forward to more of your work!

These are some really good character models. I could definitely see them being good enough for current gen consoles.
