Help/Problem (Spot Light through window)

I have a problem, how can i use my spotlight to shun through my transparent plane window lighthing inside of my room!

light linking, you can make it so the spotlight only affects the room and not the window by linking the room and the light together. maya has a light linking editor somewhere, i think its under relationship editors or something. Otherwise just fake the lighting.

If you actually want the light shine through the window panes, you need to use ray tracing. But yeah, I'd just fake it and make a shadow map or so.
