Hey everyone, this is a character that i have been slowly working on and i am in need of some feed back. it is somewhat of a self portrait, but not exact. (i dont feel that the exact "me" will be the funest character to play in a game lol) (clears throat) Anyway im running into some issues with the head with sewing verts together, and modeling the nose.

In one pic, you can see how the forehead has one vert that is all alone. i need to conect it to something, but cant find a way to do it withoout adding geometry.

other issue is modeling a nose. i want to just deattach it and throw it away, but that wont help.

i threw in other pics for what ever feed back you guys can give too. if any knows of a site with good tutorials please link, i seem to come across only high rez modeling tutorials. Thanks :)

is he supposed to look like you?

you can ditch all geo inside the nose for starters. Bring it in, we'll look at it in class...

I want him to resemble me, not necissarily be me. he is a character in a story that i am working on, and i cant view myself as actually being him. I would like to somewhat be part of my own creation, with out it turning into me, if that makes any since lol. heres a pic for those that have never seen me.

With that one vert, just split-poly tool it over to the middle of the mesh... that way when you duplicate over, you'll get no tris or ngons.

Basically, just cut the mesh above it into a tri when you split poly an edge to the left. Then, split poly from the corner to the edge of that triangle to make the quad. Does that make sense?

I think i got what you were saying, kinda mad at myself for not thinking of something so simple lol :P

Nice, that's exactly what I meant. That solution is quite handy.

Hey, Marcus! Cool looking design. I would push his eye sockets back further into the skull by maybe .5in at most. Right now his face appears a little too flat for comfort. Nice work so far, though.
