Great color choices. If you throw up some turnarounds, youll get them modeled and textured...

Rushn
07-31-2009, 10:09 PM
That would be great!

However I dont have time to do turnarounds. If I know that some one will do the model, then just for them, I'll do turnarounds!

That way Im not wasting time.

Thanks guys.

cool, summer semester just wrapped, so the next classes that would possibly tackle these would be in Fall.

If you do want us to take one (or more) of your pieces on, we'll need cleaner side and front views.

But no worries for now, thanks for contributing some work.

But no worries for now, thanks for contributing some work.

First I need to know what the image is for: Is it for model practice only, for games - ingame, for movies, for posters, and so on. Then I'll know what kind of a pose, gesture, detail, and quality needs to be used for a character or environment.

Because If it is just for practice, then I'll make a still standing figure, If it is for film then I'll make dynamic pose, and so on. U know.

Well I'll be back for fall semester, and can schedule an appointment with you about this if you want. Perhaps we can generate a series of models that will all relate to one story, an epic 3D chess set with creatures might be interesting for students, and easy enough.

dabu

Actually, if you're interested, I would love to do a series of characters and vehicles, we could do a matched set, possibly for a collab. The class that would want to do these are my character and hero props classes, and its all for games, typically PS 2 / xbox res, though we can do current gen as well.

Im around for bits of August, and of course for Fall. Drop a line if you want to meet up, my emails in my sig

Hey, love the oil paintings!!

I'm wondering if you'd be interested in being commissioned for a tattoo design. I know things are hectic and schools about to ramp up again, but let me know if and when you might be up to discuss it.

nice stuff, especially the knight

I don't get enough of a sense of scale in the tree / stream one...

I actually really like the tree and stream one. Its like a miniature norse culture haha. I dont know if they are supposed to be smaller or if the trees and everything else are larger, but it does appear that they are small. Anyways, I really like it!

Thanks, and I know what you mean.

I tried to make the tree go back into the fog and comeout again, but it didn't work as I wanted it to. But I had to start a new one and left it alone as is.

More works.

Ancient Egypt, Architects presenting a Pyramid design to the Pharaoh.

And an Elephant delivering gifts to near by town.

And a very quick speedpaint

You got some really amazing stuff going on.

one thing i did notice on the last drawing , the knight with the white hair. you loose the white hair against the white background. it seems to me that the white hair would be a major character trait and you should show it off. i might take the pure white back ground down to about 10% gray or maybe add slight blue tint to it to really highlight the white hair.

Thanks man.

Mucha is the SHIT!
you know, he didn't paint those images, he etched plates for those illustrations for every color.

Great work here man. A few posts back you mentioned turn arounds...I've really really been looking for a good concept artist. I'm looking to do one last character for my reel, and I'd love for it to be a non bi-pedal creature/monster. If you're not too busy I'd really appreciate your time/some sick turn arounds. Drop me an email at "Dunbar4@gmail.com," if you can do it. If you're too busy I understand, keep it up! :)

Glad to help, but cant. Too busy with final semester, spring show, other projects, portfolios, and such.
I have done a turnaround for one guy, when I still had the time, this semester, you can also use it to practice if you want, because he is kinda paused with his progress, for some time now.
