Hey everyone,

I have a question regarding adobe fireworks. I'm going to try to explain what I'm doing as best as I can. Please, bear with me!

So basically I have a portfolio site where each individual page follows the same template. The idea is to have thumbnails of different angles of a 3D asset that when rolled over with a mouse, show an enlarged version of that picture in the center of the screen. If you look at andy littleton's site, that's the idea I'm going for here.

The problem is, in order to work with rollovers, you have to slice the page into sections and assign each slice a behavior. When you do that, the pictures that are assigned to that slice will resize to fill the space of the slice, resulting in distortion. What I want to do is have each picture retain it's dimensions in the larger view when you roll over a thumbnail. I'm attaching a screenshot of what I'm talkin about here out of fireworks.

My process was to build the actual look of the site in layers in photoshop, then to just slice it up and export it to fireworks as I hear this is an easy way to do things. I like the layout, I just need the get the kinks out of the operation. This is my second time building a website ever... first time in a few years, so I'm definitely open to suggestions. I'd like to stick with my current method, but if anyone knows of any easier or smarter way to do this, I'm all ears.

Thanks for taking a look,
Josh
