Well, I am not sure what look you are going for, but I find the colors rather bright and saturated. The green is a rather toxic green.

I think the legs look a tad short for a biped. I don't know if they are that way because he is a lizard, but you might want to make them a little bit longer. Also the scales don't read strong enough. I would also do something about the black stripes going down his back and his legs. try replacing it with with a dark blue or green. When painting you should usually try to avoid using straight black. What are you planning on using this for, just out of curiosity?

Thanks for the tips.
This is one of my characters for my thesis project here at the school. I have been painting him mostly in Zbrush using the poly-paint option. It nice but the draw back is there is no layers. So you paint on top of the previous colors so it make it hard to replace just one color. also I think the colors are a bit off in zbrush, I made sure not to use a pure black but a dark green for the stripe, but it did turn a very dark.

Well, no layers, the colors are off...doesn't sound to me like texturing in zbrush is worth the trouble. I guess you could roughly paint in colors in zbrush and then transfer to photoshop using it as a base layer. That being said, I don't think your texture is bad, I just think it misses some additional care and tweaking.
What's the pose? Looks like he is playing guitar or so?

Although the 3d painting tools are really handy, I'd say for a really defined texture map you really need to get in there with photoshop and paint in those form shadows with a dark color burn blending mode, or the color burn tool. And make EXTENSIVE use of custom photoshop brushes(http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2008/11/10/50-must-have-photoshop-brushes/) for surface details and imperfections. All in all, Id say just further define the surface properties of the character, and i think it will come around very nice.
