here's my model. I am @ 2,224 tris right now, went down from 2.5k. Will knock it down to 2k when I get back to it next week.

Critique, comments welcome.

It would also be good to know the level of decay and dirtiness of this vehicle. Please pick 1,2 or 3 from the attached images for me to have a better idea for the final result. Also, what color is the dirt; red clay or yellow sands? Help me out. Thanks.

It is unwrapped and ready for texturing. 2k on the dot - it was a real pain in the arse cutting it down from 2.5k, but it is done. Will have it finished by the end of week 15.

C&C welcome, G

also, are those floating windows on the cab? Geo doesn't alias well, youre probably better off painting them directly on the cab, and using the extra geo to bevel the edges on its snout....

Here's what I have so far. I will have it finished by Sunday latest. I would like to work with this past the project, if there will be tweaks that you want me to make.

the hairline scratches on the "bulldoze" part (what do you call that thing) are too consistent. with matte, or low gloss paint you would only see spots where it had chipped away or fallen off (revealing metal or rust), you wouldn't see many scratches like that. there would also most definitely be dirt crusted all over the place.

also, an ambient occlusion pass on the cab/engine area would look great.

hope this helps!

I am sorry for running late. It is taking me more time to paint this model than I thought. It will be nearing 40 hrs when I finish. I will have it posted up in the next two days.

Thanks for the input, I will apply it as best I can

its a great pass, but you're missing edge hi lights, where paint would wear away. and a little more color variation would help, its too evenly yellow.

nice detail, looks good.
