meah, The tutorial is basically a good workaround for z-brush, but in all honesty, Z-brush is not the right place for that kind of modeling. If your going to do hard surface modeling, just use your native 3d Packages (Which are better equiped to handle that kind of thing.)

I agree, heheh, but it's just needed sometimes when doing Character in Zbrush, for example a stitch on the clothes, and if u need to make a zipper on the clothes to do normal map, or to do some other hard edges, that is to be normal mapped. But to do environment props, I still prefer Maya
