So, I was playing the video on Maya and I see these black triangles. I have no idea how to fix this and when I Playblast, the resulting video still shows. You can see the artifacts on the edges on the blocks on the image.
hmmm, does it render ok? Cause it might be an issue with your video card otherwise...

When I am just viewing the model itself, it still shows the artifacts.
but rendering it works ok?

So I took a render and it rendered out fine. Today when I went into Maya, the perspective camera shows no artifacts. But when i go into my camera one, it shows the same artifacts. Then I tried to make another camera but it shows another weird thing with the objects.

go to view>camera attribute editor and turn near clip to 1.0 and far clip to anything bigger than 1000 depending on the size of your model. That should stop those weird triangles. Like Dabu said, it could also be your video card. Hpefully not, though ;)

Maybe normals need to be flipped? Not sure.

This might be another one of those quirks of not having an Autodesk Maya Qualified Video Card (link (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=9683256)).
Does it show these artifacts in the school lab or on someone else's workstation?
